Welcome to the home page of the Northeast Business & Economics Association. Please join us on Facebook where we hope to establish a dialogue among the members. Remember this is your association.
The Northeast Business & Economics Association, Inc., formerly the New England Business and Economics Association, was founded in 1973. The purposes of the association are a) to promote multidisciplinary research pertaining to business and economics; and b) to improve communications and to encourage the exchange of research, both applied and theoretical, among all interested parties.
These broad purposes are met by the continuance of an annual meeting and the publication of the Journal of Business & Economic Studies. The JBES is published by the School of Business, Dowling College, Oakdale, NY, 11769 and can be reached via email at riveral@dowling.edu.
In 2013, the 40th Northeast Business & Economics Association's Annual Conference will be held from November 7 to November 9 at the OMNI Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. See the 2013 conference call for papers page for more details. The Board of Directors plans on using the conference as a celebration of the NBEA's 40th annual conference and plans several exciting events. As well, the conference will nearly coincide with the 80th anniversay of the creation of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Come and spend some time in the famous, or perhaps depending on your political beliefs, infamous, historical setting of Bretton Woods. Debate will be encouraged.
When the documents become available, we will post the tentative program schedule as well as instructions for session chairs, discussants, and presenters on the NBEA documents page (please hold the control key down and click if the link does not open.). Please check the documents out by scrolling to the bottom of the page and accessing the 2013 documents. We look forward to seeing you in Bretton Woods.
