Welcome to the 2020 NBEA Conference Homepage

In response to health concerns due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, the 47th Annual Conference of the NBEA scheduled at Portsmouth, NH on November 12-14, 2020, has been converted to a virtual conference. We have extended the deadline for paper submissions to July 1. The conference dates will remain the same.
Note the following:
o   Paper or Extended Abstract submission deadline extended to July 1, 2020.
o   Conference Early Registration Fee reduced to $25 per presentation. Additional (optional) charge of $25 for the paper or extended abstract to be included in the electronic Proceedings.
o   Conference Registration and Proceedings Publication Fees are waived for student and retiree participants.
o   Conference Registration and Proceedings Publication Fees are due September 15, 2020, and are non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the registrant.
o   One Best Paper award (including a $150 monetary award) will be given out, conditioned on the winning author’s virtual presentation at the conference. Deadline for Best Paper submissions is September 15, 2020.

Competitive papers and detailed abstracts in all subspecialties of business and economics are invited for peer review and virtual presentation at the 47th Annual Conference of the NBEA. The conference provides a forum for a wide range of papers addressing all areas of business and economics.
 
Guidelines for Submission:
Authors may submit complete working papers or abstracts (2-4 pages). The deadline for submissions is July 1, 2020. All submissions must be through Microsoft Academic Conference Management Service’s NBEA site: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/NBEA2020.  Please submit files in MS Word only and do not identify the author(s) in the body of the uploaded submission file (for blind peer review). Upload a separate file containing the title of the paper and the following information about each author: name and affiliation, address, phone number, and e-mail address. For papers with multiple authors, correspondence will be with the author submitting the paper. Please also indicate desired primary and (optional) secondary track designation.
 
Acceptances and Proceedings:
Authors will be advised of accepted papers or abstracts by August 1, 2020. A Proceedings template with publication requirements and guidelines is available at nbea.us. Conference Proceedings will be electronically published after the end of the Conference.
 
Best Paper Awards:
Authors are encouraged to submit their work for one Best Paper Award. The recipient of the award will receive $150 conditioned on the winning author’s virtual presentation at the conference. An application for participation in the Best Paper Award Competition must be submitted by September 15, 2020. Please consult nbea.us for requirements and instructions.
 
Registration:
The registration fee is at the discounted rate of $25 per paper presented if payment is made on or before September 15, 2020, and $50 per paper if submitted September 16-October 15. Student, emeritus faculty, and retiree registration fees are waived.  A charge of $25 is required for any paper or extended abstract to be included in the electronic Proceedings.  All fees must be paid by October 15, 2020.

We invite papers and panels and more.  You may submit your paper, panel, or abstract here


Accepted papers are eligible to be published in the NBEA Conference Proceedings. A word template with the proceedings publication format can be found here.  Please download the file and use the template for your paper. Formatted proceedings papers must be submitted by September 30, 2020 to be included in the proceedings which will be distributed electronically after the papers are presented and the conference has concluded. At least one author per paper must register and pay for the conference by September 15, 2020.


Everyone is eligible to enter the Best Paper Award competition and win a cash award.  In addition, students are eligible to submit their papers for the Student Best Paper competition.  One paper cannot win both awards. Student authors may submit works in progress, full papers, expanded abstracts, and workshop or panel proposals.
